Beginning his career in the 1970s, Jagathy quickly became indispensable for his impeccable timing, improvisational genius, and ability to steal scenes. He was equally at ease in slapstick, satire, drama, and villainous roles. His iconic films include Kilukkam (1991), In Harihar Nagar (1990), Yodha (1992), Mimics Parade (1991), Kalyanaraman (2002), Meesa Madhavan (2002), CID Moosa (2003), Mazha Peyyunnu Maddalam Kottunnu (1986), Udayananu Tharam (2005), and Katha Parayumbol (2007).
